Hiking to Baru Volcano

You will be hiking a volcano in this adventurous excursion! Pack your climbing boots and get ready to ascend. Starting at 5 AM the first part of the ascent is through the jungle, until we reach a breathtaking checkpoint to check out the countryside, and then head for the final climb to Baru Volcano’s peak. Your trail guide walks you through this truly unique excursion as we check out crater walls and highland wildlife: find evidence of past eruptions and listen and spot the creatures that make these cool temperatures their home. Finally, we will reach the peak: enjoy spectacular, panoramic views, starlit skies and the deep colors of the setting sun hitting the horizon. On a clear day, Baru Volcano is the only place where you can see both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans at the same time. After camping out for an hour, and admiring the scenery and your hard work, we begin our descent.
