El Valle Day Tour
Quiet Village with Hot Springs in Largest Inhabited Volcanic Crater in the World
El Valle Day Tour Overview
El Valle de Antón, commonly referred to as El Valle, is a 6 km-wide flat crater of a 5 million-year-old inhabited volcano. Underlaid by deposits of a former caldera lake, filled with hot thermal water, the area is infamous for its hot springs and natural beauty. On El Valle Day Tour, guests stop at a thermal spring, with large amounts of mud and clay that come to the surface and can be used for a natural spa treatment. ¨El Charco del Macho¨, a beautiful natural waterfall, is another highlight on the route, followed by a visit to El Nispero Zoo, a private zoo and nursery. We stop for lunch at a typical local restaurant and enjoy the quaint town of El Valle.
